Lost Ark Pet Guide

Lost Ark Pet Guide

Having a pet in Lost Ark isn’t absolutely necessary, but why wouldn’t you want a cute furry creature by your side who also gives you a few perks here and there? Pets may not have a Lost Ark tier list for you to lose your head over, but here’s a basic guide to everything you need to know about them anyway. Let’s dive right into it!

Lost Ark Pets auto-loot for you

Apart from cheap Lost Ark gold, auto-looting is no doubt the most important function of pets in Lost Ark. This greatly simplifies the process of picking up loot dropped by enemies after a fight, saving you valuable time and effort. The best part is that you can further customize what loot gets picked up with regard to type or rarity—for example. So if you’re already pretty far along the game and don’t want basic items, go ahead and configure accordingly!

Lost Ark Pets have Pet Effects

Of course, auto-looting isn’t the only job of pets. They also offer you two perks each, one tailored for defense and the other for attack. These are listed below.

Offensive Pet Effects:

  • Crit: +2-10%
  • Specialization: +2-20%
  • Endurance: +2-10%
  • Swiftness: +2-10%
  • Domination: +2-10%
  • Expertise: +2-10%

Defensive Pet Effects:

  • Max HP: +1-5%
  • Phy. Damage Reduction: +1-5%
  • Mag. Defense: +2-10%
  • Phy. Defense: +2-10%
  • Mag Damage Reduction: +1-5

If you’re not satisfied with the effects your pet currently has, feel free to head on over to the Working Achatemeow NPC and test your luck by rerolling your Pet Effects for seven Crystals.

How do I Get a Lost Ark Pet?

Your first encounter with pets will take place during the quest “Learning About Pets”. You can access this by heading on over to the Achatemeow NPC in Prideholme once you have concluded the “Demons in Prideholme” quest. Once you complete this quest, you’ll be handed over a white bunny as your first Lost Ark pet.

Once you decide that you want a different pet, get to work and complete limited-time events to unlock more of them. Alternatively, if you’re feeling rich, you could purchase some Royal Crystals (not cheap Lost Ark gold) and exchange them for a cuter pet in Lost Ark’s cash shop. Do consider the poor bunny’s feelings though!

Can I own multiple pets in Lost Ark?

Absolutely, you don’t need to replace that bunny after all! You can access all of your pets through the Lost Ark Pets Menu (Alt + P). So, whether you’re looking for a specific perk according to the situation or simply for cosmetic effect, switching your pet is a piece of cake. So what are you waiting for? Start collecting your favorite Lost Ark pets now!

What is the Lost Ark Pet Crystalline Aura?

Another way to spend your Royal Crystals on pets is to purchase the Crystalline Aura. This offers you some pretty sweet—but not vital—benefits. These include remote access to town features such as storage, mail, and repair, as well as additional space for your pet’s inventory.
